iOS 11.3 disables iPhone touch screen being replaced by 3rd party

IPhones that have replaced monitors at phone repair stores that are not authorized by Apple may lead to the inability to use the touch when updating to iOS 11.3.

Specifically, quite a few people have reported that the iPhone 8 has replaced their third-party screens that cannot receive the touch after updating to iOS 11.3.

Aakshay Kripalani, Gadgets' CEO, said Apple could do this to prevent customers from repairing iPhones at third parties.

Specifically, the cause of the touch screen problem on iPhone 8 with iOS 11.3 is due to a separate chip to control Apple's screen. According to smartphone repair companies, if replacing this chip, the iPhone's touch screen will work on new operating system versions but the price will not increase.

Last year, some iPhone 6s when upgrading to iOS 11 also encountered the status of the touch screen stopped working and Apple has released iOS 11.0.3 update to overcome this problem. Therefore, it is likely that Apple will soon release a patch to fix this problem.
