Instagram is about to add a new feature that allows users to download personal data
Facebook has long allowed users to download data, so until now Instagram has not yet had this feature, making many people frustrated. And recently, a spokesman for the social networking site said, Instagram will soon have a feature to allow users to download personal data but details and launch date has not been disclosed.
Download information will include all photos and videos shared on social networks, any articles or Stories saved in the user's archives. Even this new feature can allow downloading of direct messaging history, be it private or group chat.
News about the addition of Instagram data download features comes as more and more users no longer have faith in Facebook, Instagram and social networks in general. A recent survey showed that more than 60% of Facebook users believe their data is not secure under Facebook's control and are being shared with third-party companies.
