Asus will launch a smartbook equipped with ARM chips in the first quarter of 2010. The product is expected to follow the success of the low-priced Eee PC line that Asus launched in the past 2 years.
Asus has demonstrated the prototype of the smartbook line at the Computex Exhibition last June. The device works on Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform with an ARM processor and installs the open source Android operating system.
