HP proceeds to recover laptop batteries

The computers with batteries included in the recovery are HP, HP Pavilion, Compaq Presario, Compaq and some other models.

Although there have been no battery-caused explosions recently reported, HP still decided to recall batteries on some of its laptops. This action was done similarly by the company at this time last year with about 70,000 batteries decided to be recalled.

The possible models of batteries in this category are HP, HP Pavilion, Compaq Presario, Compaq and other models produced between August 2007 and May 2008.

" Product number " is located on the sticker label on the bottom of the laptop.

HP battery replacement is completely free. The company also recommends that users should go to service centers to exchange new batteries if it is in the recalled area to avoid possible fire cases.
