According to Electronista , HP said on Friday last week it will officially remove the Envy 13 models in its upcoming plan. Ultraportable laptop models have stopped selling after a series of recent price cuts but no successful sales.

HP's Envy series was released in September 2009 to use the Voodoo experience (acquired by HP) in designing and competing with Apple's high-end aesthetic models. The Envy 13 was born primarily to rival the MacBook Air. Despite being heavier than Apple's side product, HP's laptop still uses a low-voltage Core 2 Duo S processor and a dedicated graphics chip into a lightweight design.

The Envy 13 is always appreciated when it comes out, but it faces too much competition from Apple. Where the " Apple " products achieve success is not necessarily thanks to good features or attractive prices. The original Envy 13 models are only $ 100 more expensive than the MacBook Air and currently only drop to 999 USD after the new MacBook Air generation.

HP's move is said to pave the way for its upcoming strategies. This is the same thing that Dell used to do with the previous Adamo model.
