How to restrict which friends on Facebook can see your posts - The Restricted list feature

One way to reduce your friends' engagement and prevent them from seeing your Facebook posts is to use the friend restriction feature. This feature will add your friends to a restricted list, preventing them from seeing your latest posts. This way, you don't need to unfriend them on Facebook , and they won't know what you're doing. Below are instructions on how to restrict your Facebook friends from seeing your posts.

 

What is the restricted list on Facebook?

As mentioned in the introduction, Facebook's restricted list allows you to add friends with whom you don't want to share any new updates on your account.

They'll still be friends on your Facebook friend list, but they won't be able to see your latest posts and updates on their News Feeds. This is completely different from blocking Facebook accounts , as we can still message each other via Messenger.

Limit your friends on Facebook Live.

Step 1:

On the Facebook interface on your computer, click on the friend's account that you want to add to your restricted list.

In your account interface, click the Friends button and then select Edit Friend List .

 

Step 2:

At this point, you will see several options for this friend's Facebook account; simply select "Restricted" .

Next, we click on Custom List to edit our Facebook friend list.

A new interface will appear, and the user then clicks on the Add/Remove option to add the person they want to restrict.

Step 4:

To add someone to the restricted list on Facebook, simply select their account and click Save at the bottom.

Step 1:

On the Facebook interface, tap your profile picture, then select Settings & Privacy . Next, tap Settings .

Step 2:

Next, click on the Privacy option to adjust it.

Continue by clicking on the "Block" option to adjust the blocked accounts on Facebook.

Step 3:

At the very top of the Blocking settings list, you'll find the Restricted List setting ; click Edit to add it.

Step 4:

Continue by clicking Add to restricted list to add the account.

 

Finally, click Add next to the Facebook account you want to restrict on Facebook.

Step 1:

On the Facebook account interface you want to restrict, click the Friends button and select Edit Friend List .
