How to hide the game you're playing on Discord
Discord is an online voice and text chat platform that allows you to communicate with others playing the same game as you.
Anyone can create a Discord server and discuss anything they want. By default, Discord will automatically show your friends information about the games you're playing. Especially in cases where the game supports Discord's Rich Presence feature, your friends can even know where you are in the game. This generally helps improve community and interaction between people, but sometimes also causes inconvenience and affects privacy. This article will show you how to hide information about the game you are playing on Discord.
First, you open the Settings menu in Discord by clicking the gear icon in the bottom left, next to your name and avatar.
Navigate to the ' Activity Privacy ' tab on the left. Turn off the toggle titled ' Display Current Activity As A Status Message '. Immediately, Discord will stop sharing your gaming activity with others.
You can now close the Settings screen .
It's all that simple. If you want, you can re-enable this feature using the same steps. Discord will again show others what you're playing, metadata about your game status, or even what you're listening to on Spotify.
