How to delete Gmail account without losing Google account

Google allows users to delete their Gmail account without losing their Google account so that you can still use other services of the company. After deleting Gmail, messages and settings will disappear forever after 30 days, and that email address cannot be used to send or receive emails. In case you want to get your Gmail account back, you can still restore it within 30 days. Below are instructions for deleting your Gmail account without losing your Google account.

 

How to delete Gmail account on phone

Step 1:

At the Gmail application interface, click on the account avatar . Then, in the new interface, click on Manage Google account .

 

Step 2:

Switch to the new interface, we click on the Data and privacy management group . Now you will see the Google account management interface as well as the company's services. Users scroll down and click on Delete Google services to do so.

Step 3:

Now you enter your Google account password to continue the operation. Then you need to click on the trash icon to proceed to delete the Gmail account on the phone.

 

We can click Download your data to do so.

Step 4:

Google asks you to enter another email address other than Gmail to confirm deleting this Gmail address. A Gmail confirmation link is sent to this email address for you to click to confirm.

 

Instructions to delete Gmail account on PC

Step 1:

On the Gmail interface on your computer, click on your avatar and select Manage your Google account .

Step 2:

Switch to the new user interface and click on the Data and privacy management section .

Step 3:

Now you also see the Google account management items, click Delete Google services .

Then the user will click on the trash icon to delete the Gmail service .

You are also asked to enter an email address other than Gmail to send a verification email to that email address. We click on the verification link to delete the Gmail account.
