How to retrieve Gmail password, Google login password

How to retrieve Gmail account password

We will have 2 ways to retrieve the lost Gmail account, via the phone number entered into the account and the other secondary email address used to recover.

1. Retrieve Gmail password with phone number:

In order to be able to do this, users need to add phone numbers to their Gmail accounts. Refer to how to add a phone number to your Gmail account in the article How to delete, change, add phone numbers in Gmail.

Step 1:

First of all, you can access the link below to restore Gmail account.

1. https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery

Here enter the email address or phone number you used to log in to your Google account, then click Continue below.

Step 2

Google will ask if you remember the last password of the account, otherwise click Try another question below.

Step 3:

In this interface when the user has added the phone number to this Gmail account before, Google will use this phone number to retrieve the account password.

Google will send a confirmation code to the phone via a message or receive a call. You can choose 1 of 2 but it is best to choose Send text message .

Step 4:

Then wait for Google to send the confirmation code to the phone number and then enter the interface as shown below, then click Next to continue.

Finally, you just need to enter a new password for your Gmail account and then confirm this new password, click Change password to finish. So you can retrieve the lost Gmail account.

2. How to recover Gmail account via secondary email

One way to retrieve that Gmail account is through the backup email that you added to this Gmail account. Google will also redefine the email you added to the account, then send the confirmation code to this account.

Step 1:

We also access the Google account recovery link below, then enter the email address of the account you want to recover and click Next. Then also click Try another question when asking for the last password you can remember.

Step 2:

Since we proceed to retrieve the Gmail password via the recovery email address, click on Try another question .

Step 3:

Appears the recovery account name you added earlier. Google will send a verification code to this email address. Click Submit to proceed with the code.

Finally, we also enter the verification code sent to the email into the interface of Google, then proceed to change the new password for the Gmail account is finished.

With the above two ways, you can get your Gmail password accidentally forgotten through your phone number or recovery email.
