Facebook shares new image compression technology on GitHub

Spectrum promises to help application developers save program writing time. According to information from Facebook, the Spectrum is capable of reducing file sizes up to 15% while maintaining their image quality.
Currently, the Spectrum open source project is available on GitHub.
