With the newly added feature, all members of the group can join or be invited to the conversation. Only when the user joins the conversation will they receive a notification for each message in the conversation, if the invitation is declined, you will not be notified of 'spam'.
To avoid being disturbed, users who participate in the conversation can choose to receive only notifications that are mentioned directly by the @ symbol.
Administrators of the group can restrict spam by 'clearing' conversations or setting so that only they can open conversations.
