In the past year alone, the town has recorded 144 cases of tourists getting lost using Google's directions app. Most tourists get lost when following the directions of Google Map to the white sand beach on the East Coast but in fact they are only going on remote roads, it is difficult to move and stuck to return. Currently, many areas in Sardinia have been installed new traffic signs with the "Do not listen to what Google Maps tells you" recommendation. Even the local government is planning a campaign to propagate and share information on social networks to get more people to know.
