Compare the size of high-end chips from Qualcomm, Samsung, Huawei and Apple
Qualcomm Snapdragon, Samsung Exynos, Huawei Kirin and Apple A-series are the four leading flagship chip makers for mobile devices in the smartphone market. Of these 4, there are 3 firms integrated for Android flagship smartphones, and A-series chips, Apple only put them on their own devices.
When it comes to battery capacity, we will think about the power usage of the processor chip. Creating chips of small size will save energy as well as balance with other important circuit boards. Not only that, the chip price will be proportional to its size.
However, the smaller the chip, the more balance between CPU power, graphics performance, and additional features (image processor, AI, .) is very difficult.
According to Tech Insights, the image of 4 chips has been posted. It's easy to see, the Snapdragon 845 is 25% smaller than Exynos 9810. The Bionic Apple A11 is smaller than Qualcomm's representative, but there's no modem chip. Huawei Kirin is located between Exynos and Snapdragon.
