In 1837, Joseph Nicèphore Niècece and Louis Daguerre invented a method to save images called Daguerreotype .

They used a piece of copper, polished it to a mirror-like level, and covered the solution to be able to record and save the image on it. Then, just for the copper piece surface to be exposed long enough to light, we get the image. This approach later became popular throughout the next 20 years. This image processing method was announced by the French Academy of Sciences on January 9, 1839.

And on August 19, 1839, the French government acquired the copyright of this method and provided it free in the world, to promote the development of photography.

Although, Daguerreotype is the first method of image processing in the world to be widely recognized and published, but not the method to create the first image in the world.

Earlier, in 1826, Nicèphore Niècece created the work " View from the Window at Le Gras " with a process of image processing called Heliography . This fixes a longer paper-based display based on the detection of a dark silver and chalk mixture when exposed to light. Nicéphore Niépce noticed the contaminants.

In 1827, Nicèphore Nièpce met and collaborated with Daguerre, using a dark box Porta to take photos. This event is considered to mark the birth of Photography, that year the first picture of the Art of Photography with the time taken took 8 hours on the " street roof " was born. However, because of the time it takes to create an image so long, the Daguerreotype is considered an optimal and more important image processing process.
