Asus first announced the Ecobook laptop from a year ago, but despite the idea of ​​a laptop coated with bamboo from recycled plastics and environmentally friendly materials - Eco is a good idea. The production of a completely bamboo-like computer case is also difficult to overcome their previous design.

U6 Bamboo has a wrist resting place, made of environmentally friendly materials and actually has the same decorative properties, not really works as advertised. But it is also worthwhile to endorse the efforts of manufacturers to show interest in ecology in their products. Asus also has specific plans to use bamboo and wood for their next products, so this may be the start of a new trend. Incidentally, Fujitsu also released similar laptops with wooden casing, but there is very little information about this product since April.

U6 Bamboo (temporary name) is based on the U6 laptop and will be sold later this year for about $ 1,500. It uses Intel's Montevina Centrino 2 chipset, although the specific configuration has not been announced yet.
