Asus introduced U6V 'bamboo laptop' since last year. This is considered one of Asus' efforts to renew its product lines. U6V shells are made of bamboo commonly grown in Asia and often used in furniture.
According to Asus, the U6V is the first 'bamboo laptop' on the market. It is equipped with 12.1-inch screen, Intel Core 2 Duo chip, and Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
U6V will be available in the US and Europe markets later this year. U6V is currently in Taiwan market.
