Apple laptop is on fire again

On February 25, at an office in London (UK), an Apple PowerBook branded laptop suddenly burst into flames. By the end of the week, the incident was revealed.

Picture for illustration purposes only. Specifically, the burnt laptop is a PowerBook G4 15-inch screen made by Apple. This is an old Apple laptop brand. So far this company has stopped providing this product line.

The Inquirer technology information page said it is very likely that the above PowerBook line is also in the category of products that have been recalled with the same batch as the storm that recovers the potentially dangerous laptop battery produced by Sony. Not for long.

An IT specialist from that office said the laptop started to make strange noises and smoke. Immediately afterwards the flame sprayed strongly into the air and exploded like fireworks.

The staff at the office immediately used fire equipment to extinguish the fire. After the fire was extinguished the staff said the computer still seemed very hot and the battery seemed to still smoldering on the inside.

The story of a laptop burning in recent years is not a strange thing like the first days of the incident. The cause is mostly derived from batteries with potential risk of ignition. Under certain conditions short-circuiting can occur in the battery, resulting in an explosion.
