The USPTO and the US Trademark Office have licensed Apple to use the connection on the LTE platform for MacBook models. Patents clearly describe, the 4G antenna antenna will be "stored" inside the machine compartment under the upper chamfer around the screen edges of the device.

Thus, although it has always been assumed that placing the antenna at the top of the computer may increase the device's ability to receive wireless signals, the technology firm has expanded its antenna placement - ten as above, in case of a change in design.

This move by Apple shows that it is likely that it will introduce MacBook versions that support wireless connectivity on 4G standards. However, as usual, Apple declined to comment on the information.

Meanwhile, in the last few years, there have been rumors that Apple is working to bring 3G connectivity standards into MacBook models. Especially after the end of 2011 when a person in North Carolina revealed a sample of Apple computers with antenna design for the 3G version. But soon after, Apple asked to revoke this design template. Until now, it was really bad about equipping new connection technology for Macbook chains yet to get an official statement from Apple.
