Apple upgraded the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air software
On December 10, Apple began releasing its firmware update (firmware) for its latest laptops, the MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air.
These include the MacBook Pro 15-inch upgrades SMC Firmware Update 1.2, MacBook SMC Firmware Update 1.2, and MacBook Air SMC Firmware Update 1.1. All of these upgrades have the same function, which is to improve the sensing and accuracy of the MagSafe Power Adapter (charger) and battery charge.
The remaining versions of the MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.6, MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 1.1, and MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.3 fix some problems to improve MacBook stability.
MacBook lines will display a message to update when the device is connected to the Internet. In addition, users can download an upgrade from the Apple website.
