Lenovo's new model features a 15.6-inch screen that uses 3D panel resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels HD standard 16: 9 ratio. IdeaPad Y560d will play holograms through Lenovo's Tridef technology. This technology includes a screen, glasses and software. In addition to the ability to play 3D images, this model is equipped with an ATI Radeon HD 5730 removable card, JBL speaker system with Dolby Home Theater sound.
IdeaPad Y560d is equipped with a powerful configuration that includes a quad-core Intel Core i3 to Core i7-840QM processor, 8GB of RAM, optional 750GB hard drive (5,400 rpm) or 500GB (7,200 rpm) and use the same 32 or 64GB SSD hard drive.
Other specs include a 2.7kg weight, 1.3-megapixel camera, three USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA / USB combo port, a 6-type memory card reader, ExpressCard / 34 slot, VGA and HDMI. The device is also equipped with Wi-Fi standard n, Bluetooth, WWAN and Blu-ray drive option.
It comes with a 6-cell battery for maximum battery life of up to 5 hours when using an integrated graphics chip and 4 hours when using a discrete graphics card.
IdeaPad Y560d was sold later this month with a starting price in the US of 949 USD.
