After becoming the first manufacturer in the world to bring glassless 3D technology to laptops with Qosmio series for gamers, Toshiba this year continues to expand to the Satellite line for personal entertainment. To affirm its leading position in technology, Japanese manufacturers have integrated into the P850 with many of the most advanced technologies and hardware available today.
The P850 has a lighter and more elegant design than the "pits" like the Qosmio X770 and F750 last year. The machine has a rugged alloy shell and uses embossed pattern with small polygonal motifs to help clean it from being dirty like the F750. Along with the inside hand restraints, the lower eye of the product also uses the same alloy top cover, which is rarely seen in other laptops. The P850 carries a 15.6-inch screen with a rather thick design and weighs up to 2.8 kg, making it difficult for users to limit product movement.
Most notably on the Satellite P850 is a Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution screen that supports streaming 3D images directly. Screen design deviates quite a bit below the machine hinge. An upper webcam is used to capture images and identify user eye locations to export 3D images with the most appropriate angle. Quick testing shows that the device is only optimized for one user, other angles if too much deflection will be difficult to track the full 3D image.
It uses a separate 3D button above the keyboard so users can quickly transfer common 2D images to 3D. Toshiba's own technology integrated into the machine also allows the conversion of conventional 2D technology videos into 3D. It can also play 3D and 2D images on the same screen in different windows.

Toshiba also offers P850 extremely powerful configuration with Intel Core i7-3610QM processor at 2.3 GHz, the latest Ivy Bridge platform from Intel, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive, discrete graphics card Nvidia GeForce GT 640M with 2 GB VRAM (up to 4 GB with 2 GB of shared memory), Blu-ray optical drive for entertainment of ultra-high definition movies to connect to large HDTVs.
In addition, it also has many other handy options such as a chiclet keyboard with backlight for use in low light, Harman / Kardon brand speaker system, 4 latest USB 3.0 standard ports including a port features charging for mobile devices even when the device is turned off, HDMI ports transmit signals to HDTVs, VGA and LAN ports.
Toshiba Vietnam has not announced the price as well as the "shelf " of this product.
