12 high-end Android smartphone batteries launched in the first half of 2018 and the unexpected ending
Whylab has tested the 12 flagship Android models launched in the first half of 2018 to find out which smartphone has the best battery life. This test compares the usage time, charging time and standby time, ignoring details about the battery capacity of each Android smartphone model.
12 Android smartphones participating in the test include: Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Smartisan R1, Vivo NEX, Black Shark Gaming, OnePlus 6, Oppo Find X, Xiaomi Mi 8, Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 +, Mi MIX 2S and HTC U12 +.
Testing measures charging time from 0 to 100% of each smartphone.
The results show that Huawei's P20 Pro is the fastest with only 75 minutes, followed by Smartisan R1 with 84 minutes and the 3rd place with P20 with 88 minutes. The charging time of 12 smartphones is shown in detail in the image below.
Test battery loss after 5 hours of continuous use.
The device is used to surf the web, make phone calls, take photos, play games, play music, play videos stored on your device, run Weibo, WeChat, play videos online, read e-books.
As a result, the P20 Pro came in first place with 57% of the battery, ranked second with Vivo NEX with 56%, third place still belongs to P20 with 51%. With only 30% battery HTC U12 + ranked at the bottom of the list.
Battery loss test after 8 hours in standby mode.
As a result, the top position belongs to Huawei's two smartphones with 100% battery. Most other smartphones lose quite a bit. In the final position is Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, battery after 8 hours in standby mode is only 88%.
After these three tests, Huawei's high-end smartphones stood at No. 1 and 2. Vivo NEX, Smartisan R1 and Black Shark stood at 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Meanwhile, Galaxy S9 + and S9 Samsung only ranked 9th and 10th.
If only comparing smartphones using Snapdragon 845, Huawei P20 Pro with Kirin 970 chip produced by the company won.
