10 tips for Facebook users
Have you signed up for Facebook, added your friends and photos, joined certain community groups or upgraded your profile status? However, the work is not only that, the truth is there are many things that you can do more with Facebook.
Here are 10 tips that can adjust your profile, exploit Facebook's extensive features. These tips are outside of typical operations to better connect with your friends and perform other features.
The first tip
Exploiting your friends' statistics with Socialistics : If you want to know demographic statistics on Facebook about your friends, this app will help you accomplish that task. Socialistics can provide you with information about your friend's age, the language they use, their original nationality, and lots of other interesting information in Facebook.
Socialistics data does not show up on your profile pages and you cannot share Socialistics information with your Facebook friends via your wall. However, if you want to look at the directions for your personal network, add Socialistics to your profile and you can access it privately.
The second tip
Advanced search tips : Like Google and other search engines, Facebook has a number of search engines attached and terms to help you find loved ones. Want to search your Facebook network or friends list, but want to localize search results at a certain age. Just enter a term using the search filter tool with "name," "y1" and "y2". For example, if you want to find someone named Colin among your college friends, you can't remember his age. Then you just need to enter 'name: Colin Bauer y1: 25 y2: 40'. The search string will ask Facebook to search for people named Colin Bauer and be between 25 and 40 years old and display search results for you within that narrow range.
You can also use two search terms simultaneously by dividing terms into a '|' sign.
If you want people to easily find you when they search, fill in your profile if possible. Your interests such as music, books, movies and . will make you get closer to Facebook's search results page with those keywords. Check out Facebook's help page for more information about search terms.
The third tip
Integrating Facebook information with Google : Firefox's add-on called Xoopit is designed to streamline browsing and sharing files, photos, and videos with friends on other social networks through the Gmail service. by Google. Facebook will remember and display profile pictures, updates about their status. The Xoopit add-on also allows you to upgrade your status within Gmail via a small Xoopit box to integrate within the Gmail interface.

The fourth tip
Personalize Facebook URLs: SocialToo allows you to create a custom domain for Facebook profile pages such as username.socialtoo.com. This allows you to share your Facebook site with everyone without asking them to search for you on Facebook to find your profile. However, you may have to explain to your friends that even if Facebook.com is not in the website address, it will still get you to your Facebook page. However, this method will make it easier to remember than an 8-digit profile ID.
Signing up for SocialToo is easy and completely free. You can set up your Facebook settings under 'preferences' in SocialToo's website. Remember to choose your username wisely.
Another way to create a custom domain for your Facebook page is to go to the Profile page in Facebook and copy the web address that appears in your browser's address bar. Then go to Tiny.cc. Paste the web address of your Facebook profile into the "Enter a long URL field" of Tiny.cc. On the right, you will see a Custom option. Here, you can create a custom URL to lead http://tiny.cc/username.
The fifth tip

The sixth tip
Put Facebook Chat in the browser sidebar : Can Facebook be the main IM tool for you? You can set it in your browser sidebar. In our testing, we used Firefox, but you can also proceed with Opera. Here's how: In Firefox, go to Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks and click on Bookmarks Toolbar. Select New Bookmark and name it Facebook Chat. Then paste it into the following URL: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php. Make sure you have selected "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" and click Save. Now you are ready for the next implementation. In this regard, IE fans can't do it, but they can paste the URL into a new browser tab if they want.
Saturday tips
Back to the old Facebook interface : Have you ever felt awkward by Facebook's layout or its new interface? If you have problems, you can completely change the look of your Facebook page with a Firefox add-on called Greasemonkey, which will allow you to use Java Scripts to change the look of Facebook. However, this new interface is only you see, and your friends will still see you with the old interface of Facebook. Once you've added Greasemonkey to Facebook, visit the Greasemonkey companion site, UserScripts.org and dozens of layout options for your Facebook page. Click "install" on the new Facebook layout you want and allow Greasemonkey to do the rest of the work.
Note: Before you can download the layout for Facebook, be very careful. The script Greasmonkey is used for changing Facebook layout using JavaScript. JavaScript can be harmful to your computer if created by a deliberate person. Scripts on UserScripts.org can be granted by anyone and are not carefully considered by Greasemonkey. So before you download the layout, you need to check the user reviews for it before installing.
