YouTube blamed the algorithm for asserting the fires of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris
The fact that the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and France burned fiercely at 18h50 on April 15 (23h50 Hanoi time) made the whole world shocked. Many people present at the scene filmed livestream on YouTube. However, another sign also surprised netizens, that YouTube provided false information about the incident when linking the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral with the terrorist attack on 11. September.
After being reported by users of a serious discrepancy, YouTube removed the links on all articles about Notre Dame Cathedral and explained this confusion because of the algorithms.
In fact, these cited messages are YouTube's information box feature developed by the company in collaboration with Encyclopedia Britannica, which was launched last year in India and some other countries. This feature is operated by artificial intelligence to check for errors.
However, it seems that it has been beaten 'misled' and given the wrong quote due to the mistaken view of the burning church tower being the 9/11 terrorist incident.
The YouTube representative apologized for the confusion.
