Windows App Studio update introduces many new additions
Microsoft today announced a number of new features for Windows App Studio Beta. More than a year ago, Windows App Studio Beta was released to attract Windows Phone developers, allowing users to quickly and easily create applications for Windows Phone and Windows.
Here are some new features in Windows App Studio Beta:
- Windows Phone 8.1 sideloading
- Additional 9 new languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish
- New Page Layouts
- Static Collections and html
- Data Bind in Design Time
- PCL improvements

Since the release of Windows Appp Studio Beta more than 14 months ago, there have been about 2 million registered users.
Of the 2 million users, there are about 1 million product applications and 50,000 applications released on Windows and Windows Phone Store.
