WHO officially considers game addiction to be a pathology
Recently, WHO (World Health Organization) has officially considered the game addiction to be an official pathology. Records for medical professionals and organizations around the world will be supplemented with data and information about game addiction.
Since last year, WHO has been referring to considering game research as a psychological disorder syndrome. The addicted game is described: unable to control the craving emotions of gaming, despite all the needs and activities, other everyday interests always consider gaming a top priority in life.
In other words, if a person ignores all the daily tasks, personal relationships, family . just spending time plowing the game, experts can confirm that the person has a disorder psychology for the game.
If this condition is 12 months long, the person is officially addicted to the game. Thus, the period of time to conclude and transfer between the two levels from the syndrome to the pathology of the game is 12 months. However, many cases of game addiction have been severe for a short time.
The rules for game addiction will take effect from January 1, 2022. At that time, these regulations will be applied to medical regulations to unify more pathways for prevention and treatment for patients with this condition.
