Where Is the Shortest River in the World, How Many Meters Long

With a length of 6,992 km, the famous and mysterious Amazon River is recognized by Guinness World Records as the longest river in the world. This may not be strange to many people, but with the question of which river is the shortest river, how many meters is it and which country is it that everyone knows.

Because of the short length of rivers changing from time to time, by 2006, the Guinness Book of Records had no longer the world's shortest river title. But based on the previously confirmed record of the Roe River in Montana, the US is the shortest river in the world with a length of only 60m, not equal to 1% of the length of the Amazon River.

Why is it so short and still called a river?

Roe is a branch from the Missouri River that separates, flows through a land section and returns to the mother river. And by definition, the river is a flow system towards the sea, lake, or other rivers. Therefore, although very short, Roe is still considered a river.
