Watch the ice-cream tower with a fun dress

A group of students and Dutch and Chinese professors built an ice tower in China with a height of 31m and an average thickness of 25 cm (9.84 inches).

The Flamenco ice tower located in China's Harbin city, home to the MAD Opera House, is also home to a ice and snow sculpture festival. The latest ice tower design is inspired by traditional Chinese architecture and the shape of Andalusian flamenco dress.

It is important that this tower is made of mixing wood fibers and cellulose into the ice, making it more solid. Indeed, the team says that the added fibers make the ice three times as strong as the standard standard band.

The Flamenco ice tower can last for two years. The construction process is quite complicated and requires workers and professors, technical experts to suffer from cold temperatures up to -25 ° C (approximately -13 ° F).

Initially, the experts used huge, inflated balloons then sprayed the ice mixture, then pulled the heads to shape the tower. Finally, the hot air balloons were taken down, the tower structure quickly came out.

The team believes that building ice like this is a sustainable construction method and can build temporary buildings in harsh climates like Siberia, or even Mars. In addition, experts plan to build more ice structures for the Winter Olympics held in China in 2022.
