Tower of Fantasy: a mobile game that competes with Genshin Impact

Surely you are no stranger to the famous anime-style Genshin Impact game around the world. Now we have another new game, Tower of Fantasy - launched in China and could be a potential competitor to Genshin Impact.

1. Tower of Fantasy release date and information

1. Tower of Fantasy, launched in China as a competitor to Genshin Impact, is coming to PC and mobile soon.
2. Players can sign up for the closed beta test starting in April.
3. The game is an open-world, post-apocalyptic RPG with gacha mechanics. 

Genshin Impact has been a huge success globally, so it makes perfect sense to have a competitor. One of the more well-known names is Tower of Fantasy, which was announced in 2020 and is currently only available in China. 

On Tuesday, publisher Level Infinite (part of Tencent) and developer Hotta Studio announced the game is coming to the West on PC and mobile (including Android and iOS). While there's no official release date yet, fans or those who are simply curious can sign up for the closed beta test, which will begin in April. You can sign up on the official website from March 15-29.

2. Tower of Fantasy Contents

Tower of Fantasy is an anime-inspired, open-world RPG with gacha mechanics set in a post-apocalyptic world called Aida, a lush and habitable alien world. There, they observed comet Mara and discovered an unknown but powerful source of energy from comet Mara called 'Omnium'. They built the Omnium Tower to capture Mara, but due to the influence of Omnium radiation, a terrible disaster struck their new home world.

The game features flexible controls that make it easy for players to switch between weapons for attack and defense. Players will also have to design their own characters. This along with the latest Unreal Engine 4 graphics enhancement.

Tower of Fantasy is currently only available in China , and now the development team is actively pushing for a global release to go head-to-head with other MMORPGs available on the market today. 

3. How to join the Tower of Fantasy closed beta test

Speaking of Tower of Fantasy, closed beta tests are only available in select regions. Currently, select regions include the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada (except Quebec City). The manufacturer is planning to roll out beta tests to other regions soon.

Players who want to participate in the closed beta test can click the link here and will be asked a few questions:

1. General information about the device players will use to participate in closed beta testing, including Android, iOS, and PC.
2. The player will then send some information such as an email address to be notified of the registration result.
3. Players would then have to describe their gaming experience based on how they played games like Genshin Impact, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, New World, Destiny 2, and GTA V.
4. Finally, players had to answer a question about their favorite game genre, choosing between MMORPGs, open world RPGs, action RPGs, and story RPGs.

The development team will evaluate the app and randomly select players to participate in the closed beta testing, scheduled for April.
