Toshiba's new product has a 13.3-inch multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. U500-1EX is equipped with an Intel Core i3-330 2.13 GHz processor with 3MB cache, 4GB DDR3 memory and a traditional hard drive of 320GB.

In addition, this model also has common connections such as Wi-Fi standard n, Bluetooth 2.1, LAN and connection ports like HDMI, 2 USB ports, 1 eSATA / USB combo port (with these USB ports, users can charge the device even when the laptop is turned off), 5 types of memory card reader, DVD read / write optical drive and webcam with face detection feature.

U500-1EX has a weight of 2.15 with the battery included and is sold for about $ 1,100.
