Leonids meteor shower comes from the constellation Lion (Leo) that appears in mid-November every year (usually from November 13 to November 21). Historically, Leonids was the only meteor shower in the year that could cause "storms".

Why it takes about 33 years for Broom to create an orbit around the Sun so Leonids will be unusually large in this cycle. At its peak it can bring thousands of meteor stars into the atmosphere.

This year, Leonids meteor shower will have a density of about 15-20 meteors per hour. And to be able to observe the Leonids meteor shower in Vietnam, please pay attention to some of the following:

1. In Vietnam, the best time to observe the meteor shower is about 2 am (November 18), when the constellation Lion is high in the eastern horizon.
2. Stand outside in the night for 5 minutes to make your eyes familiar with the darkness.
3. Do not stand right under the moonlight and stay away from where there is artificial light.
4. The night is quite cold so remember to wear warm clothes carefully.
