Apple has released two important security updates for iOS, Mac and even Safari to overcome the Specter vulnerability they have confirmed affect all iOS and Mac products.
IOS 11.2.2 and macOS High Sierra updates 10.13.2 are available for all iPhone, iPad and Mac devices. Since there is no hardware fix, Apple still uses the software to avoid the impact of this error via Safari (Safari protection and browser engine). Safari 11.0.2 is also updated on macOS High Sierra 10.12.6 and OS X El Captan 10.11.6.
Update software immediately to minimize the impact of Specter
Specter is one of two dangerous CPU vulnerabilities that have just been revealed last week on devices running Intel, AMD and ARM chips. Earlier Apple released an update for Meltdown in the first update over a month ago.
Although updating OS is always necessary, there are times when you wait for a while to do it. But these security updates are very important because Meltdown and Specter are so dangerous that most users should update immediately. It is not clear whether Apple's A-Series processor needs a separate patch.
Microsoft and Google have already released updates. Read detailed information about Apple's announcement here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201222.
