The Vietnam Aviation Administration officially banned carrying MacBook Pro 15 computers on aircraft because of the risk of fire
On August 21, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration (HKVN) issued an official document banning the carrying of Macbook Pro laptops when flying in any form.
Specifically, passengers and flight crew members are not allowed to bring the 15-inch MacBook Pro models produced from September 2015 to February 2017, in any form including carrying them on board, checked baggage. or through goods.
Anyone who violates this rule may be denied transportation and sanctioned. On the flight, if the flight crew detects that a prohibited computer, MacBook Pro 15-inch models are manufactured from September 2015 to February 2017, it is required that the owner turn off the computer, do not charge the battery. and guide them to comply with airline requirements.
Earlier, on August 14, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also issued a similar ban on Apple products.
15-inch MacBook Pro models sell from mid-2015 to February 2017 with an unsafe battery, in some cases the battery may overheat and pose a risk of fire safety.
In June, Apple began recalling the 15-inch MacBook Pro sold from September 2015 to February 2017 due to overheating and accepting free battery replacement for users.
