At yesterday's parliament meeting, Mr. Sakurada received a question from Masatao Imai, an independent lawyer of the House of Representatives, about using computers. 'I have known to live independently since I was 25 and always encouraged my staff and secretaries to do so,' he said, 'I have never used a computer'.

The minister turned out to be very embarrassed when asked about using USB in Japan's nuclear power facilities and that 'he did not know' when asked what method of cyber security was used.

In response to the question of why such a person with little knowledge of technology could be responsible for cyber security, Mr. Sakurada said that it was no problem because the policy was decided by many people in his department. and the government.

'It is unbelievable that a person who has never touched a computer is responsible for making a network security policy,' Imai said.
