Recently, scientists have discovered a terrible truth that snakes can attack the herd . Only a snake has made us feel cold, try to imagine that all snakes can coordinate or compete with each other to attack prey, surely everyone is "afraid of running away from sandals".

Vladimir Dinets, a zoologist at the University of Tennessee, in the United States, observed the Cuban snake (Cuban boas - Chilabothrus angulifer) and discovered this scary thing.

When hunting, Cuban snakes often cower, curled in openings in the ceiling, near the entrance of the cave. They lie dormant and wait for the bat to pass by.

But there are times, Dinets see a lot of snakes gathered at the same place. The fact that snakes gather in groups is known to humans but it is different when hunting. Because if the snake hunts in the herd, is intended to trap more bats, it means that they have the ability to coordinate and calculate the position of other individuals in the herd, a higher order of animals.

When observing 16 hunts of Cuban snakes, Dinets found that whenever the snakes hunted together, they chose a fixed location. Thus, they easily form a solid wall, any prey flying through cannot escape the "trap" that has spread. Obviously, the combination of such hunting is much more effective than solitary hunting snakes.

If this conclusion is true, it seems that at least 3,600 snake species in the world know how to hunt in combination with the flock.

However, scientists need more time to study before making conclusions, because we still don't understand the snake's hunting behavior.

In 2016, BBC recorded videos of a lizard's escape from a fierce snakes. But then, people just assumed that snakes are competing and in the hunt for prey. But with Dinest's discovery, we may have to re-examine this video.
