The console of the Iron Man armor is inspired by the early iPhone
Kent Seki and Dav Rauch (who monitor and create visual effects for Iron Man) have revealed that the armor's console is inspired by the iPhone.
In films with the appearance of Tony Stark or Iron Man and his armor, many people are impressed by the interface displayed on the back of the Head-up Display mask. And in a recent interview, Kent Seki and Dav Rauch (who supervises and creates visual effects for Iron Man) have revealed that the armor's console is inspired by the iPhone.
Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone in 2007 and later, director Jon Favreau told Kent that he wanted the Head-up Display of the armor as intuitive as the iPhone.
Dav Rauch added that when the new iPhone was released, they tried to open it and see how it transitions. It works simple and intuitive from how to zoom in, zoom out to transition. And they created the armor's internal console as simple and intuitive as the iPhone.
Not only is the interface behind the mask, but Tony Stark's actions used to interact with smart screens in his house are very similar to gestures on the iPhone.
