The chip will shake up the PC market, giving Intel a 'headache'
The arrival of Qualcomm's Oryon core technology has helped develop computer chips that can compete with Apple products using Apple Silicon chips. Past benchmarks have shown impressive performance from the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus, while also ensuring long battery life, with the Asus Vivobook S 15 Snapdragon being able to operate continuously for up to 15 hours in an office environment.

The appearance of Snapdragon X will make Intel feel "breathless".
In addition to superior performance, these new computers are also equipped with significant computing power for artificial intelligence (AI), allowing them to take advantage of exclusive Windows features, especially the 'Copilot+' feature. However, despite these advantages, Qualcomm chips still have difficulty attracting consumers due to their high price.
Now, Qualcomm has introduced a new version of its Snapdragon X series of chips based on Oryon core technology, simply called 'Snapdragon X'. This chip is designed by Qualcomm to pave the way for Copilot+ PC systems priced under $600 (VND 15.2 million), thereby helping the company increase its market share.
Not only does Snapdragon X deliver impressive performance, it also integrates an NPU (AI-dedicated processing unit) with up to 45 TOPS of processing power, enabling efficient management of Windows 11's 'Copilot+' features. The new architecture also helps Snapdragon X-powered PCs deliver superior battery life and computing power compared to similar products.

There are so many advantages coming to PCs equipped with Snapdragon X chips.
Qualcomm said that many major brands such as Acer, Asus, Dell and HP said they will soon launch PCs running Snapdragon X chips. In addition, Qualcomm is also working on improving software in the context of Windows applications designed for Intel processors are not compatible with Snapdragon PCs. To overcome this, Qualcomm and Microsoft have developed an emulation system that allows the use of incompatible applications.
The good news is that the number of incompatible apps that can run on Snapdragon PCs is growing, with the number of apps having 'tripled in the past year', Qualcomm claims. By 2026, Qualcomm says there will be more than 100 Snapdragon-powered PCs on the market.
