Qualcomm claims the Snapdragon X Elite PC CPU is 50% faster than Intel's fastest Core Ultra chip
Snapdragon X Elite, the long-rumored and long-awaited processor for personal computers, is causing a stir in the mobile PC market. With the new ARM CPU model, Qualcomm promises a "tremendous step forward with the best CPU performance", advanced AI processing and "one of the most energy efficient processors" in the PC market within a short time. The new performance figures of this newly announced PC CPU line show that Qualcomm is not talking nonsense. Previously, Qualcomm shared official data comparing the X Elite chip line with Intel's Raptor Lake, AMD's Phoenix and Apple's M2. Recently, the company continues to compare the performance of its upcoming chips with the latest processors of its competitors, especially Intel.
The latest benchmark tests include the flagship 12-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Qualcomm used the popular Geekbench 6.2 benchmark, with a primary focus on the single-threaded and multi-threaded performance of the tested chips.
The first is about single core performance. In particular, Snapdragon X Elite CPU delivers up to 51% faster performance at maximum power (~15W compared to 30W), and 65% lower power consumption at the same performance compared to Core Ultra 9 185H. As for Core Ultra 7 155H, at maximum power level (~12W compared to 20W), Snapdragon X Elite is even 54% stronger than its competitor.
Multi-threaded benchmarks show that Snapdragon 58-60% lower than competitors. The GPU aspect also shows a similar scenario, with the iGPU of the Snapdragon X Elite CPU offering 36% better performance at ISO (30W vs 45W) and 50% less power consumption when compared to the competition compete.

GPU performance was tested using 3DMark Wildlife Extreme on Windows 11 and in this category, the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS can be seen behind the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. The RDNA 3 iGPU architecture is very well optimized for gaming and is somewhat on par with the fastest Core Ultra iGPU with 8 Xe-Cores. Therefore, while the Snapdragon X Elite CPU may perform better in synthetic tests, this is not necessarily true in gaming.

Recently, Qualcomm also announced that most Windows games will be playable on Snapdragon X Elite, and the company is working hard to ensure a smooth gaming experience for users.
