The source from Sonyinsider said Sony is working on bringing Chrome OS and Thunderbolt port to its Vaio notebook products. According to a leaked internal report, the upcoming model of the device running Google's OS is the VAIO Hybrid PC. Sony is also said to be producing a PlayStation tablet, a two-screen laptop or a sliding keyboard.
The Vaio model running Chrome will have a design very similar to Google's Cr-48 with the same distance, the size of the keyboard, but the screen is slightly smaller with 11.6 inches. This model runs Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB SSD drive. Estimated battery life is about 8 hours and weighing only 1kg.
In addition, according to Engadget , Sony is also said to be working on a new Vaio model with a "massive" configuration including Core i7 chip, AMD discrete graphics card for 8 to 16.5 hour battery, SSD and port Thunderbolt high speed connector.
There is no price information for Sony's Chrome OS model, but according to Netbooknews, the price will be very attractive.
