Smartphone screen will focus more than 400%
According to Professor Stephen Chou, the advances in nanotechnology will make the smartphone's screen sharper at 400%.
By using nanotechnology, Professor Stephen Chou has increased the efficiency of energy cells by 175% compared to 2012. In addition, this progress also helps LEDs to extend their lifespan and operate more efficiently. Currently, only 2% to 4% of the light from LEDs is emitted by the diode. This makes the screen dim, the lifetime of the LED is short and especially emits a lot of heat when the smartphone works.
Scientists can make the light ratio generated by LED lights up to 38%. However, doing so creates ambient light and thus renders the display image blurred. But Professor Stephen Chou asserted that he could eliminate the ambient light by using a nanotechnology structure called " plasmonic cavity with subwavelength hole-array ". This will increase the ratio of light generated by LEDs to 60% and the contrast ratio of the image to 400% while the screen life is longer than before.
Currently, tests continue to be conducted before filing for patents.
