Skyfall 2012 inspired by Stuxnet virus
No smartphones. No detonating pen. There are no submarines equipped with missiles. The 2012 movie "Skyfall" appeared a spy 007 - James Bond - completely without intelligence equipment in hand, fighting with both his brain and muscle strength against a high-tech scoundrel with his computers that Bill Gates must envy. So where does that scoundrel get inspired?
That's Stuxnet, according to Skyfall's disclosure, Michael G. Wilson with FoxNews. Stuxnet virus, described as an atomic bomb of cyberwar, appeared in 2010 to cripple Iran's ambition to develop nuclear. Many experts believe it is a cooperative project between Israel and the United States. And the filmmakers were quick to update, transform the world of living spies today from being equipped with hidden cameras, secret guns into extremely malicious computer viruses.
"There is a cyberwar going on and we think we will bring that into the movie and let people know what can happen," Wilson said.
Skyfall aims to explain the relevance of MI6 (British intelligence agency) to the double-O team in today's technology terrorist environment. In Skyfall, Silva - a fake MI6 agent - hacked into the government computer and threatened to publicize the identity of the agents being installed around the world.
"Turn up the election in Uganda? Just point the mouse and click. Defeat a multinational company by manipulating stock prices? Right away" , Silva (villain opposing Bond do Javier) Bardem plays) in the movie.
M (played by Judi Dench) - the head of MI6 - tasked with 007 agent to save the situation. 007 is also her only hope. However, in this high-tech world, Bond is not equipped with both a traditional arsenal of modern and advanced weapons. Instead, he was given a thin briefcase containing the most basic spy tool: a radio and a gun.
Skyfall gives audiences breathtaking adventure scenes, exotic locations and of course no shortage of hot beauties. But most importantly, it is a truly brave new world for Bond - a world like the real world we are living over previous Spy 007 movies.
Perhaps, filmmakers hope to have a real Bond fighting for us against cyberwar.
