The Spreepark theme park was opened in 1969, invested by owner Kulturpark Plänterwald . It used to be a favorite tourist destination for royal and bourgeois families in Berlin, who often took their children to experience artificial landscapes such as Lima Peu Temple, Egyptian Pyramid along with gliders and Ferris train. But until 2004, Spreepark was closed due to the lack of investment to build upgrades, as well as maintaining operations.
