Samsung's 10-nanometer (nm) DR 16Gb DRAM targets the most advanced graphics cards and graphics systems on the market today.

Samsung Electronics has begun to produce an extremely powerful new 16Gb GDDR6 DRAM (Graphics Double Data Rate 6). This DRAM is built with 10nm technology, has twice the performance speed compared to GDDR5 DRAM and reduces power consumption by 35%.

This DRAM has a battery speed of 18Gbps and a data transfer rate of 72GBps. The transition from 20nm to 10nm technology also increased its performance by 30%.

Samsung said it is targeting advanced graphics cards and graphics systems when integrated with the new hard drive.

The Korean tech giant successfully produced a 20nm GDDR5 8Gb DRAM for the first time at 8Gbps in December 2014. Currently, Samsung is applying 10nm technology to DRAMs on computers, servers, and power. voice and graphics card.

Last week, the company began producing 8GB HBM2 DRAM with 2.4Gbps on each battery.

Samsung has become the world's largest supplier of memory chips, surpassing Intel when it achieved the position of the largest semiconductor company.
