Samsung has been granted a patent for the four-sided curved screen design
Over the past few years, phone makers have taken a big step toward creating increasingly modern phones with better designs than before. One of the revolutionary improvements is the bezel-less screen. Now, Samsung is one step ahead when it has been patented for a borderless and curved screen design. This design will soon appear on Sam sung phones in the future.

Samsung filed a patent application for this design last July at the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and was approved by the World Intellectual Property Office last month. The patent shows that the screen is curved on all four sides and the metal frame is expanded at the corners for better bearing, especially in dropped situations.
However, the model of the patent does not indicate the position of the front camera. It is likely that there will be a front camera below the screen, instead of a hole-in or pop-up camera. The ports and physical buttons are also not shown on this patent and are expected to be revealed when the design is complete.

As predicted, it is likely that Samsung will bring this design to the Galaxy S series which will be announced next year. We certainly would expect a more groundbreaking design in the phone industry has too many similar designs already.
