Samsung Galaxy S23 receives June security update with many camera improvements
The Samsung Galaxy S23 has officially received the June 2023 security update, which also brings some important camera improvements. This flagship smartphone was launched in February this year, using One UI 5.1 interface based on Android 13 operating system.
According to a report from SamMobile, the update has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. Firmware version number S91xBXXU2AWF1 is currently rolling out to devices in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. This update not only adds the security patch for the Android operating system June 2023, but also comes with an upgrade for portrait photography.
Specifically, the update offers a new 2x zoom zoom option in the camera app's portrait mode, resulting in sharper portrait shots. In addition, this upgrade also focuses on improving autofocus and Night Mode feature. Samsung has also made adjustments and improvements to the haptics experience on the Galaxy S23 models.
The size of the update is around 2.2 GB and focuses mainly on resolving autofocus-related issues and improving the Night Mode feature. At the same time, this update also includes fixes for the blurry camera issue that has been recognized by the company since earlier this month.
For Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra users, the update will be automatically installed over the network connection. However, users in other regions can manually check for and install the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install. To ensure a successful update, users are advised to connect their phone to a strong Wi-Fi network and make sure the battery is fully charged. It is expected that in the coming days, the update will be rolled out widely to more regions.
