Realme launches smartphone that changes back color according to ambient temperature
The design of a smartphone is one of the factors that greatly influence users' decisions. Although most of us use a case after owning a smartphone, a newly launched smartphone with a unique design from realme will change users' minds about "dragon robes" on their smartphones.
What is that product?
Specifically, realme recently announced information about the Realme 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro product lines, in which the high-end version 14 Pro+ attracts attention with a unique color-changing back that is sensitive to low temperatures. The special feature of this design is the use of synthetic fibers, which helps ensure that no two phones have the same back pattern.
Realme says the back of the 14 Pro+ series was designed in collaboration with Copenhagen-based studio Valeur Designers. Not only does the back change color when exposed to temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius, it also integrates a new triple-LED flash system called MagicGlow, which supports portrait photography in low-light conditions. This technology is completely different from previous color-changing solutions that depend on sunlight.
During testing, the Pearl White version turned a brilliant blue when exposed to cold temperatures. The synthetic fiber used in the back cover design goes through more than 30 processing steps, giving each device a unique and one-of-a-kind look.
Realme Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Chase Xu said that the 14 Pro series brings a perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality, taking Realme's smartphone design to a new level. Meanwhile, Valeur Designers shared their pride in collaborating with Realme, a young and innovative brand.
Realme 14 Pro+ Specifications
The 14 Pro+ version is equipped with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 93.8%, an ultra-thin bezel of only 1.6 mm, and is also certified to IP68 and IP69 standards, ensuring good water and dust resistance. In addition, the device is also certified by TUV Rheinland, confirming its durability against impacts or harsh conditions.
In terms of configuration, Realme 14 Pro + will use Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip with Realme UI 6.0 interface. This is also the only phone in the 14 Pro series equipped with a periscope telephoto camera and a high-end four-sided curved screen. Meanwhile, the standard 14 Pro version will not have these features and only has a dual camera cluster instead of three cameras like the 14 Pro +.
You can choose from 8 or 16 GB of RAM with 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal storage, and both versions will come with a massive 6500mAh battery.
The Realme 14 Pro series promises to bring users superior experiences in both design and performance. With unique improvements such as a temperature-sensitive color-changing back cover and a unique design, Realme once again affirms its position in the modern smartphone market.
