Plastic electronic reader will replace paper newspaper?
Recently, a research team from Cambridge University created a new type of electronic newspaper. Thin with a credit card, the size of a standard newspaper, this electronic newspaper reader is made of plastic and has the ability to store and display all information.
Plastic e-reader
Plastic e-reader is the spiritual "child" of a group of Cambridge University students. This creation will be developed and produced by Plastic Logic at a German factory. This invention will be sold at newsstands in 2009.
The individual parts of this design are made of plastic so this newspaper will be very thin. This plastic newspaper is light on a regular newspaper but has the ability to store and display all information.
Dean Baker, director of production for Plastic Logic, said the invention of the ultra-light electronic newspaper reader will help reduce waste in today's traditional paper production.
" The paper is now available in all countries. It is read on the day and then thrown into the trash. With this type of plastic electronic reader, it is completely different, all information will be transmitted by electronic version and stored in a separate electronic reader with the same appeal as conventional paper newspapers . "
The highlight of this product is the electronic screen made of flexible plastic of just one credit card thickness. This device is about the size of a normal newspaper.
Baker said: " Even people who have jobs have to move and normal users can bring this newspaper when they move ."
