Nokia built the 5G network development infrastructure
Nokia is building infrastructure to test 5G network in Finland next year.
Despite reselling mobile parts to giant Microsoft, Nokia still has a certain influence on the mobile world. Previously, Nokia bought a stake in Siemens and the coalition established a division called Nokia Siemens Networks ( now called Nokia Networks ).
Nokia Networks often studies switches that mobile networks manage telecommunications networks. This division of Nokia is a competitor of big names like Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei. All of these competitors are playing an important role in determining the standards of 5th generation mobile network - 5G network.
Nokia will build an experimental 5G network in Oulu, Finland early next year. As the data transmission network has grown, Nokia will share APIs with investment partners and even competitors. The goal is to form a new collaborative model. And this is a good signal for creating a standard system for the 5G network in the future.
Energy consumption will certainly be part of the standard for 5G networks, with the goal of reducing 90% of electricity compared to today. This also means that the actual data transfer rate exceeds 500Mbps.
