>>>Samsung, Acer launched a laptop running Chrome
Although newly launched and running the operating system, it is strange but the first chromebook duo is attracting the attention of many consumers. Acer AC700 is currently ranked 4th in the list of the top 10 best-selling laptops on the Amazon online shopping site, while Samsung's models are constantly appearing in the " top" 10.
The new laptop chromebook was released but sold quite well.
At the top of this list is still a fierce competition between Apple's MacBook Pro and the Toshiba Portege R835-P56x running Windows 7. Meanwhile, no netbook appears on the list even in " top "20.
Richard Shim, DisplaySearch analyst, said the Chromebook would be a good replacement for Netbooks. This cheap, low-cost Windows computer has been "raining" for a while, but the poor performance has made it gradually fade into oblivion. Meanwhile, Chromebooks are also cheap, but they are new to Chrome OS.
Both laptops from Acer and Samsung own an Intel Atom chip with 1.66 GHz speed, 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, popular webcam and USB 2.0 port. Currently only Acer has launched a model with 3G connectivity, which is also the reason why AC700 of the company sells better than Samsung products.
Neither Samsung nor Acer have announced sales from these two models.
