History used by the browser to improve your experience on the Internet. When Firefox remembers a site you have previously visited or your username and password for your favorite website, that information is called history.

There are times when you don't want your computer users to see or access that information. For example, if a friend or family member shares a computer with you, you probably won't want them to see the websites you've visited or the files you've downloaded.

Firefox 3.5 and later provide " Private Browsing ", allowing you to browse the Internet and Firefox will not store any data about the sites you visit.

The "things" that Private Browsing will not store
